I suggest you just let her do what she wants, ultimately you are responsible for yourself & she for herself.

Hope you don't think me rude for asking, but are you for real? This story is basically my story to a tee, except i'm a guy & was in my teens when it all happened... either way i really urge you to look into everything non-religious, you'll find more answers there than in any religion. If you weren't baptised then you've nothing to worry about with regards to the 'troof', but if you were baptised, then i suggest you keep your head down for a while & don't rush into any disassociation action just yet.

I don't think a study is the best way to get her out.

The bible doesn't have 'a message'!
How infuriating to even suggest such a thing!
It is NOT a single book that was written with a single message in mind that was only to be understood fully 2000 years after it was completed! It is an ANTHOLOGY of disparate & often contradictory texts written over a period of nearly 1000 years, much of those texts semi-plagarisms of early texts from as long ago as 3000 BC. It was all thrown together for political reasons in a very well thought out way by political leaders & religious extremists in the 4th century AD.
It has NO message!

What WAS that then?
by lurk3r init was a hot summer.
too hot to sleep in the house.
my ex and myself talked about how nice it would be to get away for a camping trip, but we knew we wouldn't be able to work it into the schedule...so hey, we decided to pitch a tent in the back yard, and spend a night or two under the stars.. .

It's always other people who experience weird things, never me... & trust me i've looked for weird stuff, i've been to plenty of supposedly haunted place & experienced nothing. I've known lots of people who have done ouija & nothing has ever happened.
I call bullshit, sorry.
And either way, saying something is supernatural because you don't know of a natural explanation is called God of the gaps.

Weird stuff individuals believe
by bluecanary inthis thread doesn't just have to be about jws.
it's about the weird stuff that isn't taught by the religion, but an individual believes it.
my examples:.

Some people believe God came into being all itself, or that he always existed.
How crazy!

Could Watchtower Collapse Be Sooner Than You Think?
by metatron inthere have been a number of developments over the past few months and they paint an interesting picture.. witnesses can keep dragging themselves to meetings ad infinitum however, the future of the watchtower itself is another story.
the evidence of continuing cash flow problems is now overwhelming.
if you talk to well placed witnesses, most won't deny it but simply blame it on the publishers financial problems.. they have cut off loans to congregations many of whom genuinely need new kingdom halls.

Seemingly random event.
by lurk3r inmany years ago, i worked on a jobsite in europe.
one day stands out in particular, and thought i would share it here and see if there might be any "explanation" to it.
a coincidence most likely.. .

Why I can see no reason to believe in Christianity
by free2beme inthose of us on this board, who live in the united states, know this country has a lot of christian history attached to it's founders and current political state of things.
if i look in the yellow pages, under christianity, in the church section and browse the listed selection; i will quickly notice that the large majority of options are christian based in one way or another.
with this said, more then likely you are working with christians, living next door to them or related to them in your life.
